ICSA Certificate and Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration syllabuses updated

Dear Student,

I am writing to let you know that following a successful consultation and review process, the ICSA Certificate and Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration syllabuses have now been updated and revised.

Examinations based on the new syllabuses will be set for students taking COFA at the July 2012 session, and for students taking DOFA at the February 2013 examination session.

As an existing COFA student you therefore have one final session, February 2012, at which to sit and pass the modules in their current form. The closing date for entering the existing COFA modules is 1 December 2011. Registering for a module after that date will mean you will be sitting the revised module.

As an existing DOFA student you therefore have two final sessions, February and July 2012, at which to sit and pass the modules in their current form. The closing date for entering the existing DOFA modules is 1 May 2012. Registering for a module after that date will mean you will be sitting the revised module.

New text books are currently being produced by ICSA Publishing for each revised module and will be available for purchase, via the ICSA Publishing's online bookshop, approximately six months prior to each new examination session.

It is only the syllabuses and texts that have been updated. The four-module structure of the programmes, module names (with two minor adjustments) and assessment format will remain the same under the revised arrangements - please see the module details below.  You will only have to pass the modules that you have outstanding in order to complete your qualification.

If you were to fail an existing module(s) at the February 2012 (July 2012 for DOFA) exam session you would then be required to sit the revised module(s) from the next exam session.  As the module content has been revised, you would then be advised to purchase the new text(s) and undertake new course provision.
