Meet the ICSA Council
Mark Houzé FCIS PIIA (Chairman)
Mark Houzé is an Inspector with the States of Jersey Police and is currently the Senior Investigating Officer in an internet related child abuse enquiry. He has 29 years service, having worked in both the UK and Jersey. In his previous role he was Head of the Inspectorate, a compliance and risk management role, and prior to that he has headed the Criminal Justice Unit and Operational Units. Mark qualified as an Associate in 1998 and was elected as a Fellow of the Institute in 2008. He is also a qualified auditor. Mark was elected as Chairman of the Jersey Branch Council in 2008 having served on the Council for six years.
Charles Millard-Beer FCIS (Treasurer)
Charles Millard-Beer joined Hawksford International in March 2007 as head of structured funds. Charles has worked in the finance industry for over 22 years, starting at HSBC in 1985 before joining Fidelity International in 1987, and since then has had close involvement in the offshore funds industry. Prior to joining Hawksford International he was head of structured investments at Deutsche Bank International for eight years, having been with the Bank for 12. Charles is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and is responsible for the development of Hawksford International's funds business.
Tania Angell ACIS (Secretary)
An Associate of ICSA since 2005, Tania's role on the ICSA Jersey Branch is Council Secretary. As well as a full time job, Tania has two children and a husband with a demanding job and knows how difficult it can be trying to keep everything running smoothly however she has always liked a challenge! Tania is happy to be in a position where she can now support the Council and hopes to encourage students to complete their studies and become members themselves.
Derek Carter
Derek Carter started his career in the local engineering industry during which period he started studying toward the ICSA qualification. The qualification facilitated a move into the finance industry.
Ian Murphy ACIS
Ian Murphy has over 25 years experience in commercial management. Since moving into the finance industry in 2001, he has worked predominently within a compliance role, including three years employed in senior compliance positions at Ogiers. He is currently employed at Hawksford International as Compliance Manager. Ian has been involved with the ICSA Jersey Council since 2005.
Robert Le Corre BSc (Hons) ACIS
Robert is a Director of Unity Software Limited, a locally based provider of software solutions to the offshore finance industry. He has an extensive knowledge of the trust and company management industry having managed teams specialising in employee benefits. Robert also has a wealth of sales and management experience gained from a long career in the IT industry. He was elected Associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in 1997 and joined the ICSA Jersey Council in 2007.
Tony Michael FCIS
Tony Michael is a Director of Northern Trust Fiduciary Services (Jersey) Limited and is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of Northern Trust's fund administration operations in Jersey. Tony has worked in the Jersey finance sector for 20 years, chiefly in the fund administration area and has experience in the administration of a wide-range of fund types including private equity, property and fund of funds in addition to traditional funds. His former senior post was as a Director of Client service and Operations at Dominion Corporate Services. Tony has also experience with Moores Rowland, Capital House International, Trident Trust and Sanne Trust. Tony is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators and a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners.
Sandra Hayes ACIS
Sandra Hayes has over 25 years experience in the finance industry having joined HSBC (then Midland Bank Limited) as a secretary. She started studying for the Fund Manager Certificate and continued her studies when she moved into company secretarial work. Sandra now works for Lloyds TSB Offshore as a Deputy Company Secretary.
Nicola Yates ACIS
Nicki joined Volaw in July 2001, after gaining a BSc Honours degree from the Universtiy of Salford. She moved into the Wealth Structuring Group within Volaw in May 2004 where she is currently team leader. Nicki graduated from ICSA in August 2006.
